Open Cast Mining RICHARDS BAY

With a large, modern fleet of articulated dump trucks in Richards Bay – including Bell B60Es and B50Es – supported by efficient excavators, RADDS has proven capacity to successfully undertake large volume load and haul contracts.  Initially starting out at a KwaZulu-Natal quarry operation supplying tipper trucks and water carts, RADDS has grown this aspect of the business to include the complete opencast mining operation from drill and blast through to load and haul and mine rehabilitation in Richards Bay and surrounds.

Geographically the company’s footprint now extends to the North West and Western Cape provinces where RADDS contracts to the country’s major cement and aggregates suppliers, among others. Monthly production averages 500 000 tonnes of material per month.
